It is common knowledge Morris liked to tinker. So much that he had fun making 3D versions of his characters (or creations of friends like Franquin for example), to tunr them into mobiles.
Guided by the same playful spirit, we offer you this diorama inspired by the album "The Daltons always on the run", freezing the 4 brothers in a pose where each character expresses a strong character. From Jack dumb with surprise to William as an uneasy savior, passing by Joe with the peony bloodstroke and finally Averell with the blissful fear, no sentimentality in the rendering of the expressions. Indeed, it is with the desire not to distort Morris's expressive line that our favorite sculptor has brought this anthological scene to life. And always with this same radical approach : volumes, dynamism, treatment of folds and coloring in solids are exclusively at the service of the Art of Morris.
By immersing ourselves in Joe's brain, an arduous and unusual exercise if it is, one can reasonably suspect the latter of a touch of scarlet irritability towards the youngest of the siblings.
